Making the Switch to XOOM Energy Just Got Easier with Freedom2Connect


Searching for a New Energy Provider? 

For new residential customers, when you switch to XOOM Energy we’ll cover your early termination fees with your current energy provider (up to $150) when you enroll on a fixed-price plan 12 months or longer.

With Freedom2Connect, we make switching to XOOM Energy as simple and seamless as possible and we will even cover your early termination fees. To get started just:

  1. Enroll on a fixed-price plan that is 12 months or longer.
     
  2. Email a copy of the front and back of your final bill to customercare@xoomenergy.comFor Texas customers only, please email to cancellationfeexoomtx@xoomenergy.com or fax to 832-584-2025.
Please be sure to include all of the following:  

  All pages of the final bill that clearly shows your full name, service address, and the billing cycle dates 

▶  The early termination fee amount that was charged 

▶  Your phone number 

▶  Your XOOM Energy customer account number

  1. Customers in California (SoCal Gas and SDG&E), Georgia and Texas will receive a bill credit up to $150 on their XOOM Energy account. Customers in all other states will receive a reimbursement in the form of a Visa™ debit card.

How does the Freedom2Connect program work?

If you’re in California (SoCal Gas and SDG&E), Georgia or Texas, once you’ve submitted your final bill and it has been approved, we’ll provide a bill credit to your account to offset the cancellation fee up to $150. Customers in all other states will be mailed a Visa debit card in the amount of your ETF (up to $150).

 

Who can participate in the Freedom2Connect program?

New residential energy customers who switch to XOOM Energy and enroll on a fixed-price plan that is 12 months or longer. Former Stream Energy customers do not qualify.

 

When will I receive my bill credit?

For California (SoCal Gas and SDG&E), Georgia and Texas customers, once your submission is approved, the credit will show on your invoice within 1-2 billing cycles as “Cancellation Fee Credit.” 

 

When will I receive my Visa™ debit card?

Your Visa™ debit card will be sent to you within 10-14 business days after emailing us your final energy bill and it has been approved.

 

What is the ETF reimbursement limit?

XOOM Energy will pay your early termination fee up to $150.

 

Where do I send my final energy bill showing the ETF amount?

For Texas customers: Send a copy of your final energy bill and email them to cancellationfeexoomtx@xoomenergy.com or fax to 832-584-2025. 

 

For customers in all other markets: send your copies to customercare@xoomenergy.com

 

Make sure all pages are legible and please make sure that the email includes the following:

  • All pages of the final bill that clearly shows your full name, service address, and the billing cycle dates 

  • The early termination fee amount that was charged 

  • Your phone number 

  • Your XOOM Energy customer account number

  • Customers switching from Stream Energy do not qualify.

What affects whether or not XOOM Energy will pay me my ETF?

New customers who meet the following requirements will be reimbursed their ETF (up to $150):

  • Residential energy customer

  • Enrolled in a fixed-price plan of 12 months or longer

  • ESI ID or Utility account number matches the premise address that they enroll with XOOM Energy

  • First and last name matches the ESI ID or Utility account number on the prior provider’s bill

 

Can this offer be combined with other promotional offers?

No, this offer can’t be combined with other promotional offers.

 

 

*Please note that the following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the Freedom2Connect program outside of Texas: available to residential home meters only; must be a new residential energy customer switching to XOOM Energy from another provider; must enroll on a fixed-price plan that is 12 months or longer; the ESI ID or Utility Account Number matches the ESI ID or Utility Account Number enrolled with XOOM Energy; First and last name matches the name on prior provider’s bill. Customers have 90 days from their switch request to claim their reimbursement. Customers switching from Stream Energy do not qualify.

Please note that the following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the Freedom2Connect program in Texas: available to residential home meters only; must be a new residential energy customer switching to XOOM Energy from another provider; must enroll on a fixed-price plan that is 12 months or longer; the ESI ID or Utility Account Number matches the ESI ID or Utility Account Number enrolled with XOOM Energy; First and last name and service address must match the prior provider’s bill. Customers have 30 days from their enrollment date to claim their bill credit, and there cannot be a gap in service dates with the previous provider and XOOM Energy. Your bill credit will only be processed once a copy of the final bill showing the cancellation fee is provided. Customers switching from Stream Energy do not qualify.
